The Great Salt Lake / El Gran Lago Salado

When I saw the Great Salt Lake, and think about the sea that used to be here 35 million years ago, I ask myself, how it would be nowadays if the great Bonneville Sea would exist instead of the super-condimented Great Salt Lake.

Sea shells have being found on the top of the Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountains since the Anthropologists started digging and investigating the origins of the diverse Wasatch Front and Back valleys. Some pictures are attached to check out this wonder of nature.

Cuando veo el Gran Lago Salado, e imagino como seria el mar que existia aqui hace 35 millones de años, me pregunto, como seria si hoy dia, el gran Mar de Bonneville aun existiera, en lugar del super-condimentado Gran Lago Salado.


Conchas marinas han sido encontradas en la cima de las montañas Wasatch y Oquirrh desde que Antropologos empezaron a cavar e investigar los origenes de los diversos valles en las faldas del Wasatch. Incluyo algunas fotografias para que chequeen la grandeza de esta maravilla natural.
