Veracruz Marine Park / Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano



The Veracruzan Reef System, is one of the submarine parks that the rest of the Mexican people knows nothing about, we have seen better foreign expeditions coming to scuba diving the reefs and it's wonders, just few Mexican divers enjoy this marvels of nature. San Juan de Ulua Fortress / Fortaleza de San Juan de Ulua



Let's go back to the past in these two videos, this fortress is the oldest built in Mexico, of course, was built in the first Mexican founded city, right by the bay in the San Juan de Ulua Island, where it took it's name. This fortress was: the main pirate defense of the Veracruz Port in the past, then it became a prison, later it finish its service history as an arsenal. Lots of history and many legends around, has being a mystery at all times and one if the favorite grandma's tales inspiration.

Sacrifice Island / Isla de Sacrificios





Let's take a look to one of the best kept treasures in Mexico, and in particular in Veracruz State: The Sacrifice Island, this island has being closed to the public since 1985, and no one can go but the Marines, investigators with special permits, and the Lighthouse keeper and his family; any way many researching teams have landed there to do their works and investigations, the bad thing is that the Island needs to be closed for another 10 years at least to recover that magic that did had before.
